Helping our Community

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING

COVID-19

We might not be able to host all our events and groups but we are still here to help our community - if you are needing help please call us on 01274 512800 or click here to contact us, if we cannot help directly we will get you in touch with someone who can.

  • We are running a hot meal delivery service for those over 60 or isolating.  This runs Monday to Friday, meals cost £4 and need to be ordered by 9:30 on the day.

  • We are able to offer assistance with shopping for those who do not have other support and cannot get our or access online shopping.

  • If you are struggling with your mental health during the crisis we are working with Yorkshire Counselling Training to be able to offer a listening service - a chance to talk to someone trained in listening skills and off load some of your worries.

  • We have a 'pop up' foodbank.  This is a temporary service so that we can get emergency supplies to those isolating if they need something urgently.

  • We also get regular deliveries of fresh produce from the Fair Share project which is available for local residents who are struggling, we just ask for a small donation if you can afford it.

  • We can offer a friendly person to chat to if you are just fed up of feeling alone.

  • We may be able to help with other requests - please just get in touch and we will do what we can.

We hope to be able to host events and groups again once social distancing regulations allow.  If you are planning a larger event for the future please do get in touch with us as we can discuss bookings for future dates.  Keep an eye on our facebook page for updates on groups and other community events we have planned.
