Part Time Vacancies

Cottingley Community Centre are seeking to appoint a new team member on a part time basis in our caretaking team. 

There will be the opportunity for additional hours from time to time to cover holidays and sickness. 

The role will be 9 hours per week

  • To assist the Caretaker/Handman to inspect the building and its fittings/furnishings on a regular basis.

  • To carry out minor/first line repairs within the building in a timely manner

  • To ensure that the building and its approaches are clean and free from graffiti, litter and hazards at all times.

  • To ensure that the garden areas and car parking bays are maintained to a high standard at all times

  • To provide access for emergency services outside core hours

  • To be responsible for opening and securing the building for events and activities held outside core hours.

  • To ensure that those attending activities outside core hours behave in a safe and orderly manner.To comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures

  • To set up and maintain the bar when required to do so

We are looking for people who can primarily work as part of a team and can offer flexibility.  It is also important that those applying have a passion to further the work of the Centre and supporting our local community

Finance Trustee

Cottingley Community Centre are seeking a new Trustee with responsibility for finance to join our board.  

This is a voluntary position and the ideal person would have the following skills

·        Working knowledge of Sage Accounting and Payroll software

·        Working knowledge of Charities Accounting and Reporting requirements

·        Working knowledge of Charity and Company Law

·        Working knowledge of VAT including partial exemption rules and Capital Goods Scheme

·        Working knowledge of pay and pension regulations

·        Working knowledge of Corporation Tax Return completion
