Community Development Co-ordinator

£30,784 pro-rata 21 hours per week (£17,472 per annum)

2 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on the availability of funding. 

 

Cottingley Community Centre is looking to recruit a resourceful, well-organised, self motivated and pro-active individual to become our Community Development Co-ordinator.  Cottingley Community Centre is an independent community centre in the heart of Cottingley, Bingley, our aim is to improve the lives and wellbeing of local residents. 

The role involves and requires:

• Working with groups and individuals.

• Developing the range of activities available at Cottingley Community Centre.

• Strong organisations skills to develop, manage and evaluate small to medium size projects.

• The ability to engage, communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. 

• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Due to the nature of the work, this post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. Applicants are, therefore not entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are ‘Spent’ under the provisions of the Act, and in the event of employment, any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the employing organisation.
